Urban Bush Carpenters: The Wooden Esky

The next Urban Bush Carpenters workshop is coming up tomorrow at CERES, East Brunswick.

You might remember me talking about the Urban Bush Carpenters late last year when they helped me build a trestle table to elevate my tiny garden. Well, I got pretty excited about pallets after that, so I joined the UBC as a volunteer.

This time the project is Wooden Eskies and storage containers, once again made from discarded pallets. Fun!

This is what last month's propagation tables workshop looked like:

So if you want to learn to build stuff from next to nothing, for next to nothing, come along! The workshop is from 10am - 2pm at CERES. No booking or special carpentry skills needed; just bring a $5 donation. The project we make on the day can be taken home by one of the workshop participants for a small donation towards materials.

And if you can't make it this time, workshops are generally held the third Saturday of the month. Same time, same place; new projects every time. See the Urban Bush Carpenters calendar for more details on upcoming workshops.
